What to Put in an Omelette
When it comes to omelette fillings, the options are (almost!) endless. Some of our favourites include:

  • Cheese and ham
  • Spinach and mushroom
  • Smoked salmon and cream cheese
  • Chicken, chorizo and red pepper
  • Chopped tomatoes, mozzarella and pepperoni

    • Preparation time: 2 min(s)
    • Cooking time: 6 min(s)
    • Servings: 4

    How to make

    1. Start by cracking the eggs into a bowl, then whisk them until the yolks and whites are fully blended. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
    2. Next, heat the butter in a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
    3. Once the butter has melted, pour in the beaten eggs (or ¼ of the mixture, if making multiple) and let them cook for about 1-2 minutes without stirring, allowing the edges to set.
    4. As the eggs start to set, gently lift them with a spatula to let any uncooked egg flow to the sides.
    5. Whilst the middle is still slightly runny, add your prepared fillings, being careful not to over-fill.
    6. Carefully fold the omelette in half and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
    7. Slide the omelette onto a plate, cut into quarters, and serve immediately.
